On arrival at Delhi, our guide will meet you and drop you to your hotel. Night stay and dinner will be at hotel in Delhi.
Early morning post breakfast, your guided sightseeing of Old Delhi will begin - with the Red Fort (), Jama Masjid, the Friday Mosque. Do experience the abundance of Indian street life in Chandni. Followed by a delicious lunch, thereafter we proceed to explore the Qutub Minar, the 71 m high minaret (11th century), the Iron Column, Humayun's Tomb (1565), the first buildings of the great Mughal emperor, the parliamentary buildings and the Safdar-Jang- Tomb (18th century). In the evening, the cab will drop you to the railway station for the overnight train to Allahabad, one of the the main holy cities of Hinduism. Situated in the state of Uttar Pradesh, is approximately 205 kilometres south of the state capital, Lucknow and 620 Kms from Delhi, the country capital.
On arrival, you will be dropped to your hotel for wash and change and relax for some time. We start our drive for one and half hours towards Sitamarhi after a healthy breakfast. At Sitamarhi we visit the temple of Sita, wife of Lord Rama, mother of Luv and Kush and the temple of Luv-Kush. From Sitamarhi, your boat trip will begin on the Ganges, of about 6 hours to reach Virojpur in the evening. Sailing downstream in a wooden country boat from Sitamarhi to Virojpur, you will witness the most colorful stretch of this holy legendary river. After a leisurely boat trip, overnight stay will be at pre established camp with all meals.
On this day, we continue sailing, exploring famous Durga Temple, the Kali Khoh and Astabhuji cave temple on the way. Sailing under the foothills of Vindhyachal Mountains is astonishing experience. Further sail on the Ganges to Mirzapur, famous for its carpet and brassware industry also, has beautifully designed Ghats, stepped embankments. A delightful night stay awaits you - the tents at the river bank of Mirzapur.
Sailing downstream continued as we reach Chunar, the river turns sharply near the imposing Chunar fort which appears to rise vertically from the water. The sunrise and sunsets views from the fort are marvellous. The remarkable Chunar Fort which dominates the Ganges is aprime attrcation and has a remarkable long history with legends. A visit to a pottery and other crafts shops and a Hindu family lies ahead. Followed by night stay at the camp.
In the morning, we begin our sail from Chunar to Varanasi with the most stunning view of the river as it bends leisurely on the sandy banks and flows towards the holiest city of India. On the way, we will stop to see the Sheetala Temple, Adalpura, Ramnagar Fort and Museum and the Dasaswamedh Ghat, where you can perform the famous and auspicious Ganga Aarti ceremony and other important Hindu rituals. On arriving at the Rajghat we adieu goodbye to the boat team and move back to the hotel in Varanasi.
We spend the two days in Varanasi visiting the famous Ghats and temples of Varanasi - Kashi Vishwanath mandir, Annapurna temple, Sankatmochan, prominent university BHU. An excursion of Sarnath is also scheduled. Overnight stay will be at hotel after a contented trip.
In the morning post breakfast, you will be dropped to the airport to board the flight to get back to your favoured destination.
