Our representative will pick you from your hotel, from where you'll head straight to Paranthe Wali Gali in Chandni Chowk for an awesome variety of parathas.
After a delicious breakfast, enjoy exploring the exquisite Red Fort, built by Shah Jahan. Popularly known as Lal Qila, it was the seat of Mughal power from 1639 to 1857. Named after the red sandstone used in its construction, Red Fort covers an area of almost 2km. You'll enter the magnificent monument via the three-story Lahore Gate, one of six impressive gateways. From there onwards, a guide at the entrance would give you a detailed historical tour of the fort!
Our next stop would be Karim Hotel, one of Old Delhi's most famous eatery dating back from 1913. It was opened by a chef claiming to have hailed from a family of royal cooks who served, among other guests, the great Mughal emperor Akbar. Though the setting is informal, but it's compensated by the superb food.
After lunch take a leisurely cycle-rickshaw tour of Old Delhi (aka Shahjahanabad). The city was built over a period of 10 years by Emperor Shah Jahan, is predominantly a maze of tiny lanes crowded with rickshaws, and lined with 17th-century havelis.
Khan Market is one of the best places to find designer stores in Delhi and one of the classiest shopping destinations. It is fun to go even if you're just window shopping. Skip the branded stores that you'll find easily in Hyderabad as well (Anokhi, Goodearth, FabIndia, etc) and seek out the smaller independent designer stores that sell everything from clothing to handmade designer candles. End your day with a glimpse of the "new" Delhi.
